In fact, Indonesia represents one of the countries in Southeast Asia with their largest fan base. Many of you may be overly influenced by their music that you are unaware of its social endeavors. On January 11, 2016, the team touched base at Tigaraksa, Banten to impart their dance skills to the underprivileged ones. The college students were greeted by 120 youth members who were very excited to get started! After being trained for most of the week, the participants showed off their dance moves during that weekend when they hosted a performance for a large audience of about 500 people. Noh Seung Hwan, both an artist and philanthropist of K-pops YG Entertainment group, also raised funds for those Indonesian adolescents through the help of his fans.
The whole plan to come down to Indonesia was part of the industrys cultural welfare program, which aims to expand the awareness of the Korean Wave, known as Hallyu. Ultimately, it is a means to offer K-pops philanthropic initiatives. Awesome stuff, aye?
