Brilio.net/en - Has drinking too much water becoming a burden for your bladder? Thats so yesterday for Australians. They may drink as much as they want on weekend without ever panicking about nature calling.

Perth City Council has unleashed a solution for everyones relief, which is believed to be the first pop-up urinal in Australia. The first spot to be granted with this brand-new facility is the city's suburb of Northbridge, according to Seven News.

The facility will be available (as they arises from the underground) on Friday and Saturday evenings for the late-night pedestrians and tucked away in the underground again during the day.

With installation cost at about A$175,000 (about Rp1,7 billion) per unit, the Perth City Council is looking to measure the success of this first unit before considering installing others, even though the Urilift self-cleaning urinal are used in many European cities already.

Fact is, the pop-up urinal has been under consideration by the city's council since 2012.

"Its just not appropriate to slip into a laneway or hideaway and do a wee under a tree these days," Perth Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi told Channel Seven. "We've got to consider everyone else and the hygiene of the city."

The urinal can be used by three men at a time "in complete privacy", according to the distributor's website. The purpose of the pop-up is to beat the vandalism and to mantain the city streets aesthetical aspects.

An operator is needed to operate the hydraulic, to raise and lower the urinal with a remote. The process needs only two minutes to complete.

After the first installation in Perth, the City of Sydneys council is taking this into consideration, although there has been some disagreement over the options for women and hand hygiene issues.

As we have seen major developments in Indonesias big cities, can we expect to see this kind of facility in the streets of Jakarta, Surabaya or Bandung in anytime soon?
