Brilio.net/en - David Taylor and Sara Connor werearrested on Friday (19/8) as they were seeking protection at the Australian Consulate in Denpasar.
The arrest follows the death of Balinese traffic police officer Wayan Sudarsa on Wednesday (17/8). His body was found with several wounds to his head and neck on the beach outside the Pullman Hotel in Kuta.

A smashed beer bottle was found nearby the scene as well as Connor's handbag.
Bali police chief Major General Sugeng Priyanto explained that the arrest was led by the statements of nine witnesses.

When interrogated, Connor stated that she was on Kuta Beach with Taylor and had been drunk. She could not remember anything from the scene.
While waiting for their lawyer, both are now banned from leaving Bali.
