Brilio.net - Senior economist from the University of Indonesia (UI) Faisal Basri passed away on Thursday, (5/9) at 03.50 WIB in the morning. Faisal took his last breath at Mayapada Hospital, Kuningan, South Jakarta at the age of 64.

The news of Faisal Basri's death has also been confirmed by Faisal's friend who was also Minister of Finance during the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Chatib Basri via the social media account X.
