Brilio.net - Rats have a preference for living in warm, dry places, and close to food sources. Human homes are their favorite locations because they provide all the basic necessities for survival.
The presence of mice in the house often makes residents feel disturbed. These rodents not only like to roam around the corners of the house, but also leave droppings that cause an unpleasant odor.
Their presence is not only annoying, but also risks spreading dangerous diseases such as leptospirosis and hantavirus. These diseases can be spread through urine and droppings of rats that are often invisible.
In addition, when there is a flood or heavy rain, rats that lose their natural habitat will look for a safer place. In a video uploaded on Facebook Havabeells, a man said that when the river water rises, rats gather in people's homes.
But don't worry. There are ways to repel mice that can be done naturally without using poison or traps. One method that has been proven effective is to use kitchen ingredients that are easy to find and are not harmful to the occupants of the house. The ingredients used are eucalyptus oil, tobacco, camphor, and one additional kitchen ingredient, namely onions.
" Since my cat is so generous, the only option is to make a magic potion to repel mice and get them to leave our house, " the man said in the video.

The first step is to prepare a small spoon of tobacco. Then add finely ground camphor before putting it in the bottle.
Tobacco contains nicotine, which for rats has a mild toxic effect that disrupts their nervous system. Rats are very sensitive to the smell and effects of nicotine, so its presence can make them feel uncomfortable and eventually leave the area.
Meanwhile, camphor has a fairly hard nature and a sharp odor. When lime is finely ground and mixed into the mixture, it can irritate the respiratory tract of mice, making them reluctant to linger in areas contaminated by lime.

The next ingredient is eucalyptus oil as much as 10 to 15 drops, and vinegar about 5 drops. As an additional ingredient is to roughly crush several cloves of garlic and shallots until the aroma is thick.
" Just grind it so that the aroma it gives off is thick and concentrated ," he explained.
Onions, both garlic and shallots, have a very strong and sharp aroma. This aroma is very disturbing to mice, who have a very sharp sense of smell.

Mix all the ingredients in a bottle and add a little plain water. Let the mixture sit for an hour so that all the ingredients settle perfectly before use. The color of the potion will change slightly after being allowed to sit.
This potion is very easy to use and does not cause any adverse effects to the occupants of the house. Simply spray the liquid in places where mice often come, especially in the kitchen and food storage areas.
" This is a place where rats definitely pass through, so we spray it first ," said the man in the video.
Warehouses are often a breeding ground for rats because they are rarely cleaned and filled with piled up items. Rats also often roam around bathrooms, ceilings, and warehouses, so these areas also need to be sprayed.

In addition to using rat repellent potions, there are several other steps that can be taken to prevent the house from becoming a rat nest. Make sure the house is always clean, especially in the kitchen area and food storage areas.
Use closed containers to store food to prevent mice from attracting them. Check the corners of your house for potential hiding places and close any small gaps that could be a way for mice to enter.
Maintaining the cleanliness of the surrounding environment is also very important. Piles of garbage can be a source of food for rats, so it must be disposed of immediately and managed properly.
