Chinese New Year is coming and Chinese-Indonesians are busy preparing for the festivities. Vendors in Jakarta's Chinatown, Glodok, are open for business 24/7, while shopping malls are decorated in red ornaments and offer special sales for the season.

But Chinese New Year is not only about the festivities. It is also a time for reflection and prayers.

Dharma Bhakti Temple in Petak Sembilan area, Glodok, West Jakarta, has been preparing for the special occassion.
