The Indonesian acting world mourns the passing of senior actress Rahayu Effendi, who passed away on Thursday (11/28) at the age of 82. The sad news was conveyed by Dede Yusuf through a condolence post shared on his Instagram Story.

The body of the late Rahayu Effendi was laid out at a funeral home in the Cinere area, Depok, West Java. The funeral procession is planned to take place at 14.00 WIB at TPU Jeruk Purut, South Jakarta.

Rahayu Effendi is known as one of the talented actresses of the 1970s to 1990s. Her role as Tante Mira, the fierce landlady in the Warkop DKI film Mana Tahan, became one of her most iconic acts.
