The love story of former Cherrybelle personnel, Cherly Juno with Arthur Chandra is proof that true love will find its way even though it has to go through various obstacles. Their love journey that lasted for 12 years had to be lived backstreet because of the strong ethnic differences between their families.
The love struggle of Cherly who has Chinese blood and Arthur who is of Batak descent had been challenged because of the difference in ethnicity. Although Cherly's family had accepted Arthur from the beginning, Cherly had to struggle hard to prove her seriousness to her husband's family until she finally got their blessing to marry.
Their hard work in proving the sincerity of their love finally paid off with a wedding held on November 17, 2017. The story of their long wait is now immortalized in Cherly's solo single entitled "Cerita Kita" which describes the difficulty of getting permission from Arthur's family.
