Firefighters are trying to tame the flame.

Brilio.net - Fire breaks out at Neo Soho, a new shopping mall in Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta, about 20:57, Wednesday, November 9, 2016.

According to a Polda Metro Jaya Twitter account @TMCPoldaMetro, the smoke and fire firstly seen from the 9th floor of Neo Soho, near Central Park Mall. Until this news written, firefighters and 20 units of fire trucks are still trying to extinguish the flame.

Initially, the fire was thought to arise from the 6th floor. People were gathering around the place, many of those who recite the takbir sentence, Okezone reported. The fire was reported to have spread and burned the entire floors of the unoccupied Neo Soho Apartment and the attached shopping mall.

Rahmat, an employee of Neo Soho claimed had heard explosions two times. The 28-year-old who works in the basement heard the first explosion at around 18:30, followed by the second explosion at 19:00 before the flame.

Authorities are trying to determine what caused the fire, and whether there are any victim or not.

Jakarta citizens who intended to pass better take another road because the road to Central Park Mall and Neo Soho is now closed.
