Brilio.net/en - Sometimes we feel like we already did things our best but still, critic comes like a thunder in the middle of the bright day and ruins our mood for the day. It is never easy to receive a critic, but if we can recognize the type of the critics and how to handle each of it, we can manage our own mood and how we deal with it. Andrie Wongsos team had classified the types of critic as described below:

1. Direct Critic

The type of direct critic will frankly tell us what they think right on our face. They do not care about how people will handle it, they say whatever they want right there. This type of people like openness and anything immediately, so it is best if you answer to their critic directly as well.

2. Subtle Critic

This type of critic is usually good with words and gives you a lot of compliment, but behind it there lies a sharp critic. To handle this type of critic, just agree to their opinions but evaluate yourself and change if you must.

3. Direction Critic

This type is not necessarily critic because they intend more to show the direction of his thoughts than to criticize. You must be more observant: is the direction they show benefit you or not? If its not, you can say no by saying that you are objected and have your own thoughts.

4. Planned Critic

The planned critic will always agree to what you are saying but behind that they have hidden agendawhich can be a fatal critic for you. You must be extra careful to handle this and choose your words wisely.

5. Random Critic

This type is usually criticizes everything that mostly has nothing to do with you. They just crave for attention or try to get in the circle. To handle this, simply ignore them. There is no use of dealing with this, more over to take it by heart or to hate them.

But whatever type of critic you are getting, there are ways to handle it that will not only make you a better person, but also keep your relationship with the critic well-maintained. Check the tips below:

1. Listen to it objectively. Do not be defensive or emotional.

2. Ask specifically regarding the critic subject.

3. Ask for second opinion and observe on your mistake.

4. Apologize and fix it immediately if you are proven wrong.

5. Do not overthink the criticit is best to find way how to fix it.

6. Do not blame any other party. Accept the critic to develop your self and be a better person.

One thing you must remember: Critics can make you a better person, if you know how to deal with it.
