Presidential Advisory Council Members and prominent cleric Hasyim Muzadi passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 72.
The Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Former Chairmandied at his residence in the complex of Al-Hikam Islamic Boarding School in Malang, East Java after being treated at the Cardiovascular Care Unit of the Lavalette Hospital for five days. He had also been treated in the same hospital for a week earlier last month.

"We've lost another figure, former chairman of NU, Hasyim Muzadi. May he rest in peace," Mustofa wrote.
Hasyim will be buried at noon today in Jakarta.
