Brilio.net/en - A flash flood left thousands of houses submerged in the city of Bima, West Nusa Tenggara, Wednesday.
Head of West Nusa Tenggara Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) H. Muhammad Rum in Mataram said the flooding occurred at 02:00 p.m. at local time. The flood attacks almost the whole of the city," he said, adding that locals have been evacuated from their homes.

The government on Thursday sent aid packages for the victims, which, according to West Nusa Tenggara PR and protocol officer Yusron Hadi said included medicine, clothing items, and food.
Head of National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPNB)s Data Information Center and PR Sutopo Purwo Nugroho explained that the flash flood in the regionwas triggered by extreme rain influenced by cyclone Yvette.
