Brilio.net - Ladies and gentlemen, the Jakarta Fair is back in business for the 49th time. On Friday, June 12th 2016, the opening ceremony was held at the Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. Along with exciting dance performances, a group of people also lit up an array of colorful fireworks which beautifully burst through the air. The fair will be open until July 17th.

To add on to the celebrations, Jakarta’s governor Ahok stressed upon the importance to communicate about the Smart City program as a means to enhance the public’s access to information technology. As mobile applications are in popular demand today, Ahok wants the Indonesian community to tap into that. He believes that the Jakarta Fair can be a solid platform to guide the public towards achieving that goal.

He explained that “this [Smart City program] is what I want conducted at the fair. I don’t want to see the administration only selling products, like traditional food, to visitors. Jakarta shall introduce to the public the applications it has, which can make the life of the Jakartans or people who want to visit this city easier and better.”

The Jakarta Fair will also showcase plenty of exciting products and services, which include fashion, food, handicrafts and electronics, to name a few. Bring your kids too so that they can be a part of the all new snow playground and horror house called Penjara Setan (Devil’s Prison). Trust me; they’ll be on cloud nine!
