Brilio.net/en - While the public mostly chooses mobile-apps transportation service instead of conventional ones, services like Grab and Uber have been accused of disrupting the transportation industry across Asia as well as other parts of the world.

We saw thousands of taxi drivers, along with other conventional public transportation drivers, taken Indonesia by storm and brought parts of the capital Jakarta, and bring it to a standstill in a protest against the private hire vehicles (PHV).

Some protesters were seen attacking vehicles and threatening others drivers not taking part in the strike.

Weve seen the same things happened all around the world. These pictures will give us a glimpse of anti-Uber protests around the world:

London's transport chiefs announced plans on Wednesday to tighten control on PHV, a move that could hit app-based ride-hailing firms such as Uber.

Drivers of the black cabs, the city's famous public transportation service, have argued Uber violate local licensing and safety laws and amounts to unfair competition. They have staged a number of high-profile protests, causing traffic in the centre of London to come to a standstill, with go-slow demonstrations.
