Brilio.net - India is often known for its unique and eccentric food. Starting from the taste, the manufacturing process, to the unusual presentation, it is often in the spotlight. Apart from that, the many snacks sold on the roadside also attract attention.
However, to taste street food or street food, you don't just have to go to India, you know. At some moments such as weddings, there is street food which is also served as a meal for guests. Well, the experience of eating at this celebration was shared by a TikToker from Indonesia named Aul.
Recently, TikTok social media was filled with videos of Aul tasting Indian-style street food at a celebration. After investigating, he attended the wedding of his Indian brother. The wedding appeared to be held at one of his relatives' residences in England.
As reported by BrilioFood on Tuesday (25/6), Aul admitted to tasting several types, such as panipuri, chaat and dhokla. But instead of feeling comfortable with the food, Aul actually showed an unexpected expression. Especially when eating panipuri which is served with a separate sour sauce.

At this celebration, panipuri is served in small glasses filled with gravy. Initially, this TikToker was confused about how to eat panipuri. However, an Indian woman who served the food explained further that the sauce served was simply poured into a ball-shaped panipuri with a hole in the middle.
Shortly after pouring the soup, Aul immediately ate the panipuri. However, shortly after chewing, his eyes immediately watered and he looked like he was almost vomiting. To the point, he had to cover his mouth so as not to spit out the food.

"I swear, it tastes like tamarind, then it smells like onions, like there's a lot of onions. I don't know what you use to make it, but it's really, really bad," said Aul after consuming panipuri.
Even though he had such an unpleasant experience, he didn't just stop. Aul is still trying some of the street food or other typical Indian snacks served at the celebration.
After trying panipuri, Aul tried another street food, namely chaat. Chaat is a kind of thin bread which contains pieces of potato and chickpeas. Then on top there are pieces of coriander leaves, yogurt and dried ginger.

When Aul tasted the food, he immediately frowned and covered his mouth. This seemed to indicate that the taste of the chaat did not suit his tongue. However, his relatives still had time to joke after seeing Aul's expression.
"Thank God, it's delicious, right?" said a woman recording behind the camera.
"Thank God, ambulance? But this isn't as bad as panipuri in my opinion," said Aul.
Even so, Aul seemed curious about another food called dhokla. In the uploaded video, this dhokla looks like a soft sponge cake. But strangely, the food was served with large green chilies which looked spicy.

When he tried the food, he was quite surprised by its spicy taste. Even though the texture is really like a soft sponge cake, it has a spicy taste. Apart from being spicy, there is a sensation of smoky aroma that is felt after eating dhokla.
Who would have thought, Aul's hilarious video immediately went viral and attracted the attention of netizens. Since it was uploaded last Friday (21/6), the video has been watched more than 8 million times on TikTok. It's not surprising that many netizens flocked to provide direct responses in the comments column.

"When I was eating panipuri, someone helped me cover her mouth and said: Are you too drunk!" wrote the TikTok account @wennyrad.
"I've been to New Delhi and immediately tried the street food there. Panipuri tastes like crackers with potatoes in them but the sauce tastes like tamarind, spicy mint and smells like onions hahaha but it's delicious," commented the TikTok account @cal.citonin.
