Brilio.net - Clean bathroom walls and floors free from scale are certainly everyone's dream. But in reality, maintaining the cleanliness of this area is often a challenge. Cleaning scale in the bathroom often requires extra effort and special tools.
Many people complain that even after using various cleaning products, limescale is still difficult to remove. The main cause is that limescale has hardened and adhered tightly to the surface, making cleaning more challenging. In addition, the bathroom area is always wet and humid, accelerating the formation of limescale, so it needs to be cleaned regularly.
To eradicate scale on bathroom walls and floors , many people usually use a special brush. In fact, there is another trick that can be done to eradicate scale on bathroom walls and floors without having to brush. This trick was once shared by YouTube user @Gianola Vlog. Through one of the videos uploaded, she admitted to using one kitchen ingredient to clean the bathroom.
As reported by BrilioFood from YouTube @Gianola Vlog on Monday (10/21), the kitchen ingredient in question is dishwashing soap. Well, this dishwashing soap will later be mixed with other ingredients, namely bleach and hot water. The combination of these three ingredients is believed to be able to remove scale in an instant even without brushing, you know.
For a clearer process, prepare 1 ladle of boiling water. Then pour 5 tablespoons of dish soap and 5 tablespoons of bleach. Stir these three ingredients until dissolved and thoroughly mixed.
Then pour it all over the bathroom, especially the walls and floors that are crusty. If so, let it sit for 30-60 minutes so that all the ingredients are perfectly absorbed. If you feel the crust is very stubborn, you can let it sit longer than that time.
Well, shortly after letting it sit, rinse the bathroom walls and floor with water. After that, wipe it using a dry cloth. In addition to making the bathroom cleaner, this wiping process will help remove dirt or soap residue that is still stuck. That way, the bathroom will also be drier and safer to use.
Basically, a mixture of dish soap, bleach, and hot water is an effective solution to eradicate limescale on bathroom walls and floors because each component has a specific function that works together to solve the problem. Dish soap contains strong surfactants, which are chemical compounds that can reduce the surface tension of water and help dissolve dirt and oil. These surfactants help loosen and lift soap residue and dirt that sticks to walls and floors.
Meanwhile, laundry bleach, which generally contains sodium hypochlorite, is a very effective oxidizing agent in killing bacteria, mold, and mildew that often grow in bathroom environments. In addition to its disinfectant properties, bleach is also able to break down and dissolve hard minerals that form scale, such as calcium and magnesium. Thus, bleach not only cleans but also sterilizes bathroom surfaces.
On the other hand, hot water plays a vital role in the cleaning process by helping to dissolve and loosen hardened crust and grime. The heat from the water increases the effectiveness of dish soap and bleach by speeding up the chemical reactions involved. In addition, hot water helps to dissolve soap scum and grime faster, making it easier to clean.
