Responding to this, Jennifer Coppen finally spoke. Simultaneously with the process of carrying out Dali's body which had been cremated at Lembeng Beach on Sunday (21/7), Jennifer explained the reasons why her husband was not buried according to Islamic procedures. In her explanation, Jennifer said that it was a request from Dali himself.
"Regarding why Papa Dali was cremated, I want to ask you to just respect the family's decision and that was Papa Dali's request," he said, quoted by brilio.net on Monday (22/7).

Jennifer knows very well that her husband is a convert to Islam. Even though he was cremated, during his lifetime Dali was a person who studied a lot about Islam. Jennifer also explained Dali's various activities which followed Islamic procedures.
"It's true that Papa Dali is a convert. Papa Dali has just studied Islam and he's studying, guys. Before eating he says bismillah. Before Kamari eats he is told to recite bismillah, when he enters the house he says Assalamualaikum," added Jennifer.

While sobbing, Jennifer admitted that her husband still didn't really understand his new religion. There are many Islamic teachings that are not yet known. According to Jennifer, this is also what made Dali give his will to be buried by cremation.
"Because he hasn't studied much, Papa Dali doesn't really understand the religion of Islam and indeed Papa Dali's last request was to be cremated," he said.
For this reason, he asked netizens to respect this decision. Currently, she only asks that her husband be prayed for and that he be at peace in nature. Jennifer also admitted that she also prayed for her late husband by making a tahlilan at home.
