Brilio.net - The love story of Rizky Febian and Mahalini will soon come down the aisle. The two of them are planned to get married on Wednesday (8/5). On Sunday (5/5), the wedding procession started taking place.
As a woman of Balinese blood, Mahalini also held a Farewell procession which was held at Mahalini's residence in Tibubeneng Village, North Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali. The sacred ceremony was attended by both Rizky Febian and Mahalini's families. Sule, the father of the singer "Until Old Together" was seen watching this traditional procession.
"So this is a tradition, yes, a custom in Bali. So the bride-to-be is saying goodbye, so it's not a reception," explained Sule, quoted by brilio.net from SL MEDIA on Monday (6/5).

The process of saying goodbye is mandatory in traditional Balinese weddings. Saying goodbye is done by the bride as a meaning of farewell. The meaning is to say goodbye to the ancestors on the bride's side, because she is getting married and she is the responsibility of the groom's family.
"I asked permission from Papa and Dadong. How about Papa (and) Dadong? Of course it's with the parents' blessing too, that's how it is. I'm ready," said Mahalini, during the Merewell procession, when asked about her readiness to get married to Rizky Febian.
Mahalini and Rizky Febian's wedding will be held on Wednesday (8/5) in Jakarta. Reportedly, their second wedding will be held in an Islamic manner, according to Rizky Febian's beliefs. This goodbye ceremony is also part of Mahalini asking for permission to change religions .
"Thank God guys, everything is over. So this is a goodbye event, saying goodbye to Lini's family and also her ancestors. That Lini will convert to religion and has been permitted, and Lini has been allowed to marry according to our religion (Islam) later in Jakarta," explained Sule.

The relationship between Mahalini and Rizky Febian caused controversy because of the differences in beliefs between the two. In fact, MUI chairman Cholil Nafis also commented on this. Cholil said that a Muslim's marriage is invalid if he carries out an Islamic marriage contract with a partner of another religion.
"Marriage from different religions according to Islam is not valid, whereas the government only registers marriages, not validates the marriage contract. This means that marriage between different religions is when the relationship between husband and wife is the same as committing adultery according to Islamic teachings," said Cholil, quoted from the X account @cholilnafis, Monday (6/5).
Netizens flocked to comment on Sule's upload on his YouTube channel. They admitted that they were touched by the choice of Mahalini and her family.
