The Indonesian film world is in mourning again. Sandy Permana , better known as Arya Soma, an action actor in the soap opera Misteri Gunung Merapi 3 (Mak Lampir), was found dead with stab wounds near his house in the TNI Polri Umum Housing Complex, Cibarusah Jaya Village, Bekasi Regency, on Sunday (12/1) morning.
The victim was found covered in blood with wounds on several parts of the body. It is strongly suspected that Arya Soma was the victim of murder. The local RT head, Sudarmadji, said that initial reports from residents stated that there was an act of violence against the victim.
"The victim had time to feed his chickens behind the house before returning home at around half past eight. The incident occurred after that," Sudarmadji told the media.
Local residents rushed Arya Soma to Cileungsi Regional Hospital, but his life could not be saved. "We suspect there was only one perpetrator, but the motive is not yet known," he added.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Bekasi Metro Police, Commissioner Onkoseno Grandiarso Sukahar, explained that his team would immediately conduct a crime scene investigation (TKP) and examine the victim's body.
"Several stab wounds were found on the victim's body which are suspected to have come from a sharp weapon," said Onkoseno.
