Brilio.net - Verrel Bramasta, who was previously known as a soap opera actor, has now turned to politics. The son of Venna Melinda has also just been officially inaugurated as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2024-2029 period.
His steps to become a member of the DPR made him decide to distribute his entire salary as a member of the DPR for a full year to his constituents, namely in the electoral district or Electoral District of West Java VII.
His actions were not just a back campaign, but as a responsibility as a public figure. Not only that, Verrel also wanted to prove that an artist who plunged into politics was purely to serve and not merely to make money.
"This is my gesture to show my attitude that to prove that artists are not just about making money, I will give one year of my salary to my constituents," said Verrel.

The man who is now 28 years old emphasized that Verrel kept his promise firmly. He stated firmly that his salary while in the DPR was distributed transparently. Verrel also added that his actions were not merely symbolic. He will also give his salary to people in need.
"I will explain all of this transparently, so for one year I will distribute my salary to my electoral district in West Java VII," added Verrel.
Daring to risk his promise regarding salary to the community, it turns out that Verrel himself is known as a generous person. It is known that Verrel has assets recorded up to Rp51 billion. The assets are the result of his hard work as an actor, presenter, and model.

As a member of the legislature, Verrell will receive a salary and allowances in accordance with the provisions stipulated in Government Regulation (PP) Number 75 of 2008 concerning the Financial and Administrative Rights of the Leaders and Members of the People's Representative Council. In addition, there are also additional regulations that regulate the details of other allowances, such as Circular Letter of the Secretariat General of the DPR RI Number KU.00/9414/DPR RI/XII/2010.
According to the provisions, a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives such as Verrell Bramasta will receive a basic salary of Rp4,200,000 per month. This is the basic salary that is the right of every member of the House of Representatives who has been inaugurated.
With a basic salary of Rp4,200,000 per month, for 12 months or one year, Verrell will contribute a total of Rp50,400,000. Even so, he will still receive a number of other allowances as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives which if added up could reach tens of millions of rupiah every month.
Seeing the nominal salary that will be donated to constituents, which is Rp50,400,000, is only a small part of his wealth. Considering that Verrel will also still receive allowances as a member of the DPR.
