The relationship between Ahmad Dhani and Judika has recently been in the public spotlight. It all started when Judika was reportedly reluctant to sing Dewa 19 songs after Ahmad Dhani directly demanded royalties. Ahmad Dhani's accusation that Judika stole Dewa 19 songs and wanted freebies went viral on social media.

In his Instagram post, Ahmad Dhani wrote, " After stealing Dewa 19's song, when asked, he refused to perform it again. He wanted it for FREE ". This accusation made many people wonder why Judika remained silent in the face of the accusation. However, after a few days, Judika finally spoke up and gave three reasons underlying his stance.

Judika admitted that Ahmad Dhani is his role model in the music world. He was once the vocalist of Mahadewa with Ahmad Dhani's approval. Judika tried to understand Ahmad Dhani's anger and asserted, " So even if he gets angry, I don't mind and don't need to reply, because he actually knows I'm not a thief who likes to steal, let alone want freebies ."

Judika also emphasized, " Before everything is clear and legally binding, I will temporarily not sing songs by creators who are fighting for a direct license. Second, I am also a songwriter ." He realized the importance of songwriters' rights and fought in a different way, namely by giving the right to collect to LMKN, an institution formed by the government.

Judika hopes that the National Collective Management Institution (LMKN) can function optimally, so that songwriters in Indonesia can get their rights. He emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in copyright management, not only in the context of off-air events , but also in commercial publics such as karaoke and malls. " And demanding that LMK-LMKN can work better, transparently, accountably, and have a capable system and tools to record, collect, and distribute performing rights ," concluded Judika.
