Brilio.net - Dua Lipa fans in Indonesia had to swallow their disappointment after the concert titled Radical Optimism in Jakarta was officially canceled a day before the event took place. The concert which was supposed to be held on November 9, 2024 at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno, Central Jakarta, was forced to be canceled by the promoters, TEM Presents and PK Entertainment.
This decision surprised many, especially since Dua Lipa had already arrived in Jakarta. She was even very enthusiastic to greet her fans who had been waiting for her performance since her last performance in Indonesia in 2017.
Through an upload on Instagram Story, Dua Lipa expressed her disappointment and heartbreak for not being able to perform in front of Indonesian fans.
I am heartbroken to share that I will not be able to perform in Jakarta this Saturday, November 9, she wrote.
Dua Lipa explained that she was ready to perform in Jakarta. However, stage security was the main factor that made it impossible for the event to take place.
I am here in your amazing country and ready to perform, but I am brave enough to share that it is not safe to continue the show due to stage safety concerns, he said.
Dua Lipa also emphasized how much she is looking forward to this concert. Especially after not performing in Jakarta for quite some time.
I was really looking forward to tonight, and it really hurts me that we cant perform for you all, especially after so long since my last performance in Jakarta, he added.

Dua Lipa also said that all ticket purchases will be refunded to fans. She hopes to be able to return to Jakarta with her fans one day.
Refunds will be issued from your point of purchase. I love you all and cant wait to be back in the same room with you singing and dancing our hearts out as soon as possible, he concluded.
Meanwhile, the stage vendor, Mataelang Production, revealed that the stage preparation had actually been completed since November 6, 2024. They even ensured that they had obtained a special structural safety certificate for the event from a certified structural engineer who is experienced in handling large-scale international events in Indonesia.
"For this concert, we have completed stage preparations since November 6, 2024," explained the representative of Mataelang Production.

Mataelang Production confirmed that the stage was declared safe for the event. However, Dua Lipa's tour felt that it was not up to their standards.
"Which states that the stage is safe to use. Regardless, the Dua Lipa Tour still feels that what we have done does not meet their standards," he wrote.

Mataelang Production stated that they respect the decision of Dua Lipa's team. They also apologized to fans who had high hopes for Dua Lipa's concert in Indonesia.
