Brilio.net - Chelsea Davina Norman, known as Chelsea JKT48, is currently in the spotlight on social media X. The reason is, Chelsea JKT48 is accused of stealing someone else's work in the form of a guitar sound for TikTok content. Ironically, this JKT48 member claims that the guitar sound is the result of her own efforts, which she mentioned in her personal TikTok caption.

The issue surfaced after the X account owned by @capekbgtakutu made the accusation viral. In its upload, the account included a video of Chelsea playing the guitar using a sound owned by a content creator.

"Please make it viral, guys. Chelsea JKT48 stole someone else's guitar sound (my friend) but she claims to have done it herself. My friend suddenly saw a video of Chelsea playing the Rapsodi guitar, but her voice was exactly like my friend's guitar sound," wrote the account owner, quoted by brilio.net on Sunday (11/8).

The account owner also said that there was no problem if Chelsea was inspired by her friend. However, she objected because Chelsea claimed the work as her own creation.

"It's actually okay if she was inspired by my friend. The problem is, in Chelsea's TikTok caption, she wrote ngulik sendiri. Who can accept their work being stolen by someone else and claimed as ngulik sendiri?" he explained.

Realizing that she was being the subject of gossip, Chelsea JKT48 finally spoke up through an upload on the @DC_ChelseaJKT48 account, Saturday (10/8). In her clarification, Chelsea apologized for causing a commotion after her upload of playing the guitar on TikTok went viral.

"Good afternoon everyone, I would like to apologize for the commotion caused by my TikTok video," wrote the 11th generation member of JKT48.

Chelsea explained that she has been inspired by content on TikTok and YouTube. She claims that some of the video content belonging to other people that she uses is only a reference for creating her own content.

"So far, I have been inspired and used several TikTok and YouTube contents as my references," explained the idol.

The 15-year-old girl also added that the guitar sound she used in her video was too low, so that the guitar sound from other creators was more dominant. As a result, the public considered that Chelsea stole other people's work.

However, Chelsea admitted that she used some videos without asking permission first. She realized that this caused misunderstanding among her fans.

"I apologize for using those videos without permission, and because my guitar sound was too low, it caused a misunderstanding that it was as if I was claiming that I was the one who played the sound," he added.

He also explained about the word "kulik sendiri" which people were debating. It turns out that the meaning of "kulik" that he conveyed was trying to play back the sound he got from TikTok, not claiming it as his work.

"Then I mean from exploring it myself, I explored the sound that I got from TikTok," said Chelsea again.
