Brilio.net - To coincide with National Children's Day, the music group RAN released a children's album entitled RAN For Your Kids. This album was born from RAN's concern for Indonesian children who now consume a lot of adult songs and also children's songs in foreign languages.

This music group consisting of Rayi, Asta and Nino admits that they grew up with children's songs. This makes RAN have a moral responsibility to try to provide the same experience to Indonesian children today. One of them is by celebrating joy through songs that have positive values, are motivating, and are sung in the mother tongue, namely Indonesian.

I used to really listen to children's songs, and there are many memories attached to children's songs. Maybe even musically it really enriches our musicality. The days become cheerful, for example when going to school, listening to children's songs, they are really happy. Or on holiday listening to cassettes of children's songs. "The point is to make our childhood more fun," said Asta, quoted by brilio.net from a press release, Wednesday (24/7).

The experience of RAN personnel regarding children's songs is very deep and sentimental. Astono Handoko, said he was impressed by the song "Si Lumba Lumba" when he was little. Rayi was a background dancer in the music video for the children's song "Aku Cinta Rupiah" performed by Cindy Cenora, in 1998. Meanwhile, Nino always remembers the joy of singing Indonesian children's songs together at his friends' birthdays when he was little. An experience that perhaps not many Indonesian children have today amidst the onslaught and addiction of gadgets.

"We thought about how to bring back memories from our childhood, like when we grew up with Si Komo and Kak Seto." said Nino, RAN personnel.

Nino Yakom, actually there are a lot of children's songs nowadays, but they don't really relate to their parents. In fact, the entrance to children is definitely through parents. So, RAN wants to present a figure who can be a bridge to today's parents who are the same age as them. One of them is by collaborating with Kak Seto and bringing back the figure of Si Komo.

RAN For Your Kids contains eight tracks consisting of three RAN songs, namely "Good Morning," "Sepeda," and "Dekat di Hati," an iconic children's song from the 90s with a slight composition according to the era "Macet Lagi (Si Komo takes the MRT), plus four voice over narratives from Kak Seto about the RAN For Your Kids universe. RAN involved Alvin Witarsa as co-producer.

"We introduce the issue of protecting the environment through the song 'Good Morning.' We know that mornings in big cities are now polluted by air pollution. Then we introduce the bicycle song, as a solution to avoid traffic jams. The song 'Close to the Heart' also carries a universal message of love, it can be related to the love of family or friends, then the song 'Macet "Lagi' which was changed in context by encouraging children to have awareness of using environmentally friendly public transportation," said Rayi.

Interestingly, RAN also directly involves children's talents, namely Velyn Elsa, Khayla Khay, and Achmad Barakha. This spirit of collaboration confirms RAN's vision of supporting the talents of Indonesian children in the field of music by providing opportunities to create. These three children's talents were obtained through a selection process which was attended by hundreds of participants from all over Indonesia.

The spirit of reinvigorating children's songs is certainly carried out by RAN in a relevant way. In addition to releasing albums via digital streaming platforms, RAN will also periodically release four music videos featuring RAN personnel in the form of animated characters with narrative stories that stimulate children's creative imagination. The four videos directed by Sakti Marendra can be watched on YouTube, opening with the music video "Good Morning."

The RAN For Your Kids album was released with child-friendly activities held by RAN at Urban Forest Cipete, on July 23 2024. This release date was chosen to coincide with National Children's Day. As part of the celebration of this children's album, RAN is also collaborating with Bruule to release mini brownies called " Selamat Fudgy."

These mini brownies are made based on the characteristics of each RAN personnel and will provide a complete experience in enjoying RAN For Your Kids content. The RAN For Your Kids project, as part of the campaign to bring back the glory of children's songs, will also be carried out continuously in schools. RAN hopes
This effort will revive the spirit of Indonesian children's songs, in the hearts of children and adults.
