Brilio.net - Recently, Tasyi Athasyia's name has again become the public spotlight after her review of bika ambon went viral on social media. Tasyi was criticized for storing bika ambon in the refrigerator before reviewing its texture. This sparked a debate among culinary lovers, including chef and actor Nicky Tirta.
Nicky Tirta also highlighted the controversy by uploading content on YouTube about bika ambon. He mentioned a food reviewer who kept bika ambon in the refrigerator before making an assessment, although he did not mention the name directly. The upload apparently offended Tasyi, which led to an alleged report to the authorities.
In his video, Nicky Tirta discusses that bika ambon that has just been taken out of the refrigerator will certainly have a harder texture compared to one that is still at room temperature. He also emphasizes that comparing the two conditions is not the right step in conducting a food review.

"Bika Ambon full butter has gone viral. Yesterday, there was a food reviewer who reviewed it and complained about the Bika Ambon which he said was hard. He reviewed the Bika Ambon which had just come out of the refrigerator and he replied to the comment that he had a recipe that could make the Bika Ambon stay soft even when stored in the refrigerator," said Nicky Tirta, quoted from TikTok @nickytirta on Saturday (8/3).
Nicky Tirta believes that storing bika ambon in the refrigerator before reviewing it can affect the texture of the cake. He also emphasized that comparing fresh bika ambon with the one that has been stored in the refrigerator is unethical.
"But what made me think was that he reviewed Bika Ambon that had just come out of the refrigerator with Bika Ambon that was at room temperature, it seemed unethical. You can't compare Bika Ambon that is still at room temperature and soft compared to Bika Ambon that had just come out of the refrigerator, even to the point of saying it was like soap," he said.
Nicky also asked for a response from Indonesian culinary expert, Fatimah Bahalawan, who confirmed that bika ambon stored in the refrigerator will indeed harden. According to her, this happens because of the fat content in the cake.

"Why? Because it contains fat in coconut milk, butter and flour. So when it meets the refrigerator temperature it will definitely harden, so to make it soft again? Just steam it or microwave it," said Fatimah.
Fatimah also explained that although hardened bika ambon can be steamed again, its texture will not return to its original state. This is related to the starch retrogradation process that also occurs in other foods such as rice that is stored in the refrigerator.
"Even then, it will not return to its original texture exactly because there is a starch retrogradation process, just like storing rice in the refrigerator overnight. Then we take it out and steam it again, it will not be exactly the same as freshly cooked rice," he said.

Responding to Nicky Tirta's statement, Tasyi Athasyia felt offended and considered herself slandered. Although her name was not mentioned directly in the video, she felt that Nicky's statement clearly referred to her.
"The knowledge is still limited but the comments are very firm, sir. I have been studying culinary for 2.5 years, I have been cooking since I was 7 years old, I have made hundreds of recipes. And bika ambon remains soft even when refrigerated!" commented Tasyi Athasyia.
Not only that, Tasyi also uploaded a moment when she was at Polda Metro Jaya via Instagram Stories. She is reported to have made a report, although it is not yet known for sure who the person reported is.

In her upload, Tasyi accused Nicky Tirta of spreading false information about how she reviewed bika ambon. She stated that she did not compare two different brands with different treatments.
"@nickytirta nice to meet you, sir. Oh my, how can you speak so confidently but the information you convey is wrong. Nowadays, it seems that what's important to people is FYP," said Tasyi.
The feud between Tasyi Athasyia and Nicky Tirta has also drawn many reactions from netizens. Some support Nicky Tirta's statement that educates on how to review food properly, while others side with Tasyi and feel that she has the right to express her opinion.
Until now, there has been no further information from the police regarding the report made by Tasyi Athasyia. The public is still waiting for further developments regarding this case and whether there will be an official response from Nicky Tirta regarding the alleged report.
