Brilio.net - The name Shella Saukia has recently been widely discussed because it is related to the issue of Isa Zega's umrah. Isa Zega, a transgender, is known to have gone on umrah wearing women's clothing. Now Isa Zega has been officially reported to the South Jakarta Metro Police for alleged blasphemy.
Isa Zega was allegedly facilitated by Shella Saukia's travel agency to perform his pilgrimage to the Holy Land. As a result, Shella's name was dragged into the polemic that drew mixed reactions from the public.
Responding to this issue, Shella Saukia and her husband, Fitra Budiman, finally apologized through a video uploaded to Instagram on Friday, (11/29). Although it did not explicitly mention Isa Zega's name, the apology is believed to refer to the controversy that is currently being widely discussed.
"I, Fitra Budiman, along with my wife, Shella Saukia, and our entire extended family, we ask for forgiveness from Allah, and with sincere intentions, we apologize profusely to all Indonesian people for the chaos that has occurred recently," he said.
Shella Saukia, who was sitting next to her husband, also expressed her deep regret. She also expressed her gratitude for the understanding and prayers of the many who supported them.
"And we, full of regret, will continue to commit to learning to become better people in the future," said Shella.
In the video, the couple did not provide detailed clarification regarding their alleged involvement in Isa Zega's umrah departure. However, they stated that this incident was a big lesson to improve themselves.
"Hopefully this will be a big lesson for us and we will continue to improve and move forward to be even better," concluded Shella.
Shella Saukia's name was also highlighted because Isa Zega is the brand ambassador for her skincare products. This decision became a topic of conversation, including among celebrities. One of those who spoke up was Nikita Mirzani, who admitted to being surprised to learn of Shella's involvement.
Nikita Mirzani questioned how a transgender could go on an umrah pilgrimage independently without the help of a travel agent. She said the case also made her wonder about Shella's decision to make Isa Zega the representative of her skincare brand.
Until now, there has been no official statement from the police regarding the development of the alleged blasphemy case that ensnared Isa Zega. The public is still waiting for further steps from the authorities to resolve this polemic that has attracted widespread attention.
