Brilio.net - The drug abuse case committed by Ammar Zoni is still continuing. New facts were revealed, that Ammar not only consumed crystal methamphetamine, but was also suspected of being involved in buying and selling these illicit goods with a supplier named Akri.

This was revealed in the Ammar Zoni drug case trial which was held at the West Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (2/7). Public Prosecutor (JPU), Khareza Mokhamad, said that the witness and defendant, Akri, had agreed to run a methamphetamine business in December 2023. More precisely, around 10 days before Ammar's arrest, namely on December 12.

"Based on Akri's statement, the narcotics business is the financier of Ammar Zoni. Based on Akri's statement, it is clear what he said (Ammar capitalizes on buying and selling narcotics)," said Khareza, quoted from Antaranews, Thursday (4/7).

In fact, it was also stated that Ammar had sent Rp. 50 million to be used as capital for the narcotics business. In this business, Akri promised Ammar a profit of IDR 5 million as well as 5 grams of crystal methamphetamine which Ammar could consume.

Regarding this statement, Ammar Zoni gave a firm denial. He admitted that he only knew that Akri had asked for help for business capital, but Ammar said that he did not know what business Akri was going to do at that time.

"I never knew. He never told me that the reality was like that," said Ammar Zoni at the trial, as reported by Kapanlagi.com.

Ammar Zoni's attorney, Jon Mathias, also gave a similar objection. Jon Mathias believes that Akri's statement cannot necessarily be used as a basis for the judge to decide on the case. Moreover, Akri's confession was not included in the BAP.

"Ammar also denied it. If Akri's statement is confirmed, it means the quality of the witness is strong. But if it is denied, it will definitely be a consideration for the judge again," said Jon Mathias when met after the trial.

Moreover, according to Jon Mathias' explanation, Akri's statement regarding Ammar Zoni having capitalized in the crystal methamphetamine business was also not contained in the BAP or the prosecutor's indictment.
