Brilio.net - Fake creams are often promoted with promises of instant results, such as whiter, brighter, or acne-free skin. However, behind these claims, many of these products contain dangerous ingredients such as mercury, which is known to have toxic effects.

The use of creams containing mercury can cause various health problems, including skin irritation, rashes, and even permanent damage to skin tissue. In the long term, mercury exposure can trigger more serious problems, such as impaired kidney function and nervous system.

Mercury works by inhibiting the production of melanin, which is responsible for skin color. Although the whitening effect can be seen quickly, the use of this product is unsafe and very risky. In addition, mercury can accumulate in the body, causing side effects that can last long after use is stopped.

As experienced by a TikTok user with the account name @wahyuni_256. Through her upload, she shared her story as a victim of fake cream containing mercury. She even showed the condition of her face which made her feel sad.

She had let the condition sit for a week, but it didn't get any better. Finally, she decided to use a face cream labeled BPOM. As a result, the pimples on her face turned into reddish acne all over her face. Worse still, her face was also covered in pus-filled acne and a kind of painful cystic acne.

Due to her worsening facial condition, Wahyuni consulted a dermatologist and stopped using the BPOM facial cream that she had previously used. Until now, Wahyuni has been diligent in consulting with dermatologists and choosing skincare products based on doctor's prescription.

Wahyuni's story is proof that fake skincare products containing mercury are really dangerous for skin health. Instead of being beautiful, they actually damage the face.
