Brilio.net - Director General of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Iwan Suprijanto, symbolically inaugurated the first minimarket, Indomaret in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) recently. This inauguration marks the first step in providing retail services for the community in the area. The presence of Indomaret is expected to meet the daily needs of residents in IKN.
Quoting from Indomaret's official Facebook account, the opening of this minimarket is expected to help consumers in getting daily necessities. In its statement, Indomaret expressed its pride in the achievement.
"With gratitude, alhamdulillah, it is a matter of pride and history, today, August 11, 2024, Indomaret opened for the first time in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN)," wrote Indomaret as quoted by brilio.net on Friday (23/8).

A woman with the account @amooeyy shared a moment when she was shopping at the only minimarket in the IKN. Although it had just been inaugurated, it seemed that many people had come to shop, both ordinary people and people wearing project clothes.
"Shop at the only Indomaret in IKN," said the account @amooeyy.
The minimarket building does look new with white chat. However, when you want to go inside to shop, customers are required to take off their shoes first. This is a practice that rarely happens in minimarkets elsewhere.

When entering, it is true that all customers are barefoot or commonly called nyeker. Not without reason, this is done to maintain the cleanliness of the minimarket floor. According to @amooeyy's confession, the floor always looks clean.
"All barefoot, the floor is always clean," he wrote.
However, this rule of removing footwear also has its drawbacks. One of them happened when a female friend in the video brought different footwear than the ones she had worn before. When she arrived, she was wearing shoes, and this was only realized when they were far from the minimarket.

"Because entering requires taking off shoes. My friend came wearing shoes and went home wearing someone else's sandals, bjiirrr," he added. As a result, they were all forced to turn around to return to the minimarket.
This video then went viral and attracted the attention of netizens. Many were surprised by the rule that requires shoes to be removed when shopping. Not a few were even curious about how the shoes could be exchanged.

"Anjir is already like he wants to go to the mosque and just take off his sandals or shoes," said the account @sigit.wonk.
