Brilio.net - A leaky or leaky pan is a problem that often interferes when cooking, especially when water or cooking ingredients start to seep out. A leaking pan can be caused by various factors, ranging from careless use to the quality of the pan itself. If the pan is often dropped or hit hard, it is likely that the base or edge of the pan can crack or become damaged which eventually causes a leak.

In addition to physical impacts, pans can also leak due to the influence of continuous high temperatures or contact with certain chemicals. Pans that are heated too often or not cooled properly after use can experience structural changes in the material, making them more susceptible to leaks. On the other hand, pans with worn non-stick coatings also tend to be more easily damaged, even peeling off and causing small holes.

Well, to overcome the pot that has a hole or leak, many people then take it to a repairman. Or even some choose to just throw it away. But do you know? Actually, the pot can still be used again after being patched at home.

An Instagram user @siti_setyowati_ once shared a trick to patch a hole in a pan practically and effectively using only 1 piece of kitchen waste. As reported by brilo.net on Wednesday (8/1), the kitchen waste in question is a packet of powdered milk. Usually, milk packets are made of thick aluminum foil. Well, this material is very suitable for patching holes in pans.

For how to use it, simply measure the perforated part first. If so, measure the milk packet and cut it according to the width of the hole in the pan to be patched. Make sure the aluminum foil is wider, okay?

Next, immediately heat the bottom of the pan for a few seconds. When it is hot, immediately lift and stick the aluminum foil (used powdered milk packaging) to the perforated part of the pan onion. The heat from the pan will make the aluminum foil stick immediately.

Now, at this stage, you can smooth the aluminum patch with the help of a tool (because it is still hot). If so, let it sit for a few minutes so that the aluminum sticks even more. That way, the hole is closed and the pan is ready to be used again for cooking or boiling various foods.
