Brilio.net - In modern life, electricity is a source of energy and an important need for society. This energy has been utilized since ancient times to be converted into various energies such as light, heat and motion.

As a result, electricity supports various sectors in human life. Starting from turning on the lights, stove, rice cooker, to the water pump.

Especially for lighting sources, electricity will be useful in providing lighting at night so that it can make each community's activities easier when the sun goes down .

But who would have thought, in this modern, highly sophisticated era, it turns out that in Indonesia there is still one area that does not have electricity.

Located in East Java, residents in this area use traditional methods as a source of lighting at night. This life without electricity occurs in Alas Kayu Putih Sukun, Ponorogo, East Java. As reported by brilio.net from a video on the Trace Richard YouTube channel, Wednesday (3/4), this village does not have PLN electricity at all.

This village is known to be one of the remote areas in Ponorogo. Until now they still use lighting sources in the old fashioned way.

Lighting equipment in the form of kerosene lamps is still the right choice for residents of this remote village in the middle of the Kayu Putih forest. This also applies to Tukinem, one of the residents who lives there.

"It's beautiful to break the fast here," said the statement written by the video owner who took the time to break the fast in this remote village.

As explained in the video caption column, it turns out that most of the residents in this village are Perhutani employees. There they work to care for the eucalyptus plants and harvest them. Even though they have employee status, they don't seem to get proper facilities such as electricity to supply their homes.

Meanwhile, during the day, the conditions and atmosphere in Alas Sukun are very quiet. There is almost no visible life, only eucalyptus plants fill the forest and the path provides access.

"This is the situation, friends, Alas Sukun's condition," said the man recording the video.

Not only is it dominated by eucalyptus plants, it turns out there is also a lot of cassava and corn trees growing there.

"Here, Perhutani employees can also grow crops and raise livestock to increase their daily income," explained the video recorder.

The video, which has been watched more than 33 thousand times, has received various responses from netizens. There are those who are also concerned, but quite a few also feel that their lives are far from noise.
