The restaurant finally spoke up, this is the fate of the restaurant waiter who called his customer 'tobrut'

Brilio.net - A woman recently expressed her frustration with one of the famous restaurants in Jakarta. It is known that he and his friends were visiting a restaurant called Iron Fist in South Jakarta. However, when making payment, one of the waiters wrote inappropriate words on the bill receipt.

Reported by brilio.net from the X @radennisya account, Thursday (27/6), the word "TOBRUT" was written on Iron Fist's bill. This word is an abbreviation and has a negative connotation that leads to sexual harassment. Because of this, he then tried to contact the restaurant to ask for confirmation.

Initially he tried to resolve this problem privately. The woman made a complaint via Instagram DM complete with a chronology of events.

"But when I left the restaurant and looked at the photo of the bill because I intended to split the bill, I found remarks on the bill which in my opinion led to negative things and this included sexual harassment ," he wrote in an Instagram DM.

Due to this incident, the woman then asked the restaurant to follow up on this matter firmly. He really regrets the actions of the staff who do not respect customers at all.

However, the restaurant never provided an answer in DM. Finally, the woman then spread it on social media. The aim is to attract public attention and pressure the restaurant to resolve this case.

After it went viral , the restaurant immediately contacted the woman. The waiter who committed the act sent a video apologizing. The restaurant also requested that related posts be taken down from social media.

This request was rejected, because the victim wanted the restaurant to apologize and upload it to the official Iron Fist account. He wants to provide a deterrent effect so that this doesn't happen to other people in the future.

"Last night on WhatsApp I was told to take down. I just sent an apology video (from the waiter) without feeling guilty. I said NO until there was an official media statement," said the woman.

Due to a lot of pressure, the restaurant finally responded. Via the official Instagram account @ironfist.jk, the restaurant apologized. His party admitted that this action was very contrary to the basic values promoted.

"We apologize profusely to the individuals affected and to our community in general, actions like this are unacceptable and contrary to your basic values," wrote the official statement.

Apart from that, employees who are perpetrators of these unpleasant acts will also be given strict sanctions. The restaurant then terminated the employee's employment relationship (PHK). They pledged to strengthen staff training programs to reinforce the importance of maintaining a respectful environment.

"We are taking firm action to handle this incident. We have imposed the toughest disciplinary action on the employees involved in the form of layoffs," concluded the resti party.
