Hello Brilio Friends,
Now we are in Kalimati alley, Glodok Chinatown , Jakarta. This time I deliberately looked for the culinary dish 'baskom noodles' which is often discussed on social media. It turns out there are lots of interesting things in this area, you know. One of them is a variety of snacks.
The price for a portion of noodles, vermicelli and kwetiau at this basin noodle shop is IDR 18 thousand. You can add a variety of fried foods to the menu, here. For example, shrimp bakwan is priced at IDR 12 thousand.
After eating something savory, it seems delicious if you look for an all-sweet menu. Still in the same alley as basin noodles, here they also sell traditional Chinese food , called mipan. This Chinese menu is sold as a shoulder bag, but it tastes really good.
Mipan is made from rice flour which is processed into a white dough with a chewy texture. The chewy texture and color of this snack are similar to Korean-style tteokbokki. The difference is that this mipan is sprinkled with brown sugar and sprinkled with fried onions. The combination of sweet and savory tastes is balanced and produces a really unique taste.
