As a tourist city, Yogyakarta not only pampers tourists with its various culinary choices. More than that, the city with the landmark Malioboro also has a choice of hotels from ordinary to five stars that tourists can choose from. Not only those that are still operating, there are also hotel buildings that have been left abandoned.
As recently shared by the TikTok account user @wisatakuy_. In his upload, the account owner named Chindy Aidi shared his moment while exploring an abandoned hotel in Yogyakarta.
In the video, the content creator who actively shares content about exploring old places mentions the name of the hotel he visited, namely Poeri Devata Resort Hotel. After investigating, the hotel is located in the Prambanan area and was founded in 1989. This hotel is said to have been abandoned as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

" Wow, the Poeri Dewata Resort Hotel. This is the hotel behind the Prambanan Temple. I stayed here at the end of 2019. The atmosphere at the hotel was really good, but unfortunately it had to close because of Covid, " explained TikTok @Oksa Aliya.
" I've stayed here before, the atmosphere is really nice even though it's close to Prambanan + the breakfast is great, you know :( ," said TikTok @..
It was destroyed really quickly, the last time I stayed here before the pandemic. Family subscription ," added TikTok @.
A number of netizens also commented regretting why a place like a hotel restaurant could be neglected like the Poeri Devata Resort Hotel.
" Crying to see the Upright chiller just left until it breaks ," said TikTok @Tartletswholetart.
" That's a pretty good menu, you can learn to cook hotel menus, right, " added TikTok @bigboss.
I sometimes like to be surprised at houses or buildings that haven't been lived in for a long time. "Why is it so messy, " said TikTok @DINAH AZIZ.

Before it stopped operating, this hotel, located in the Prambanan Temple area, was quite well known among tourists, because of its strategic location.

At the beginning of the video, Chindy immediately shows the dining area or restaurant in the hotel which is in a messy and neglected state. Before entering, it was seen that all the window panes were broken. The floor was also filled with dust, wood, and items that had been deliberately left behind.

Chindy also found a business card just lying on the restaurant's kitchen floor. Apparently, the card belonged to an employee or even a chef who used to work there.

In one corner of the kitchen, Chindy also showed an upright chiller or food cooling cabinet which is usually used in luxury restaurants. The device seemed to no longer work and the doors were just open.

Then, Chindy also found a secret recipe book belonging to the Poeri Devata hotel restaurant. In the book, recipes are written complete with pictures of the dishes when they are served. Even though the book is old, the writing and pictures are still clearly visible. "I accidentally saw one of the books lying around, when I opened it, it turned out that the contents were ingredients for a food menu that used to be on the food menu here. This is actually food in general, mostly western food," said Chindy, quoted by BrilioFood from TikTok @wisatakuy_ on Monday (8/7).

Still curious, Chindy decided to go further into the restaurant's kitchen area. He also found a door whose ventilation had been knocked out. Apparently, behind the door there was a room filled with leftover plates, trays, oil bottles and various cooking utensils left over from the restaurant's kitchen.

Chindy also found another room which appeared to have been an office or management room at the hotel. On the floor, there were many files scattered. Apart from that, on the wall of the room there is also a tutorial on back care which seems to be a role model for restaurant employees when working.
