Lydia explained that the tool in question was a dishwashing sponge. Cut the sponge into smaller pieces so that it could fit into the hose. Lydia used a sponge that had been soaped, so that the process of cleaning the hose would be more effective later.

After the sponge pieces are inserted into the hose, attach the hose to the water tap. Then, turn on the tap at the highest speed, so that it can push the sponge inside the hose.
