Dispenser hose is an important component in household appliances that is often used to supply drinking water. This hose connects the water gallon to the dispenser, ensuring a smooth and clean flow of water every time you need drinking water. However, the continuous use of dispenser hoses often causes unavoidable hygiene problems.

The condition of the dispenser hose that is easily dirty is a concern for many users. Because it is often used, this hose is susceptible to the accumulation of dirt, moss, and bacteria, which can affect the quality of the water. Water that flows through a dirty hose not only affects the taste, but can also pose a health risk to the family.

Cleaning the dispenser hose regularly is an important step to maintain cleanliness and water quality. However, not everyone knows the right way to clean this hose, so it is often ignored until the dirt is more visible. In some cases, some people usually soak the hose in vinegar and soap water.

However, the pungent smell of vinegar and soap can also stick and contaminate the water that is channeled through the hose. To be safer, you can use the method used by Instagram user @keluargabapakarsoono. Through one of the videos uploaded, the netizen admitted to relying on two other kitchen ingredients to clean the dirty dispenser hose.

As reported by BrilioFood on Monday (7/10), the kitchen ingredients in question are baking soda and dishwashing soap. So first, pour the dishwashing soap into a bowl, then pour hot water and add the baking soda. Make sure the baking soda is food grade. After that, stir until the soap and baking soda dissolve in the water.

Next, remove the hose from the dispenser, then tie it so that it becomes shorter. Then put it in a bowl filled with soapy water and baking soda. Soak and let it sit for 15 minutes.

After that, lift the hose and scrub it using a straw brush. If you don't have one, you can use cotton and a stick. The trick is, just insert the cotton into the hose, then push it using the stick until the cotton comes out of the end of the hose.

Well, the hose that has been brushed can be rinsed immediately. To remove the soapy smell, you can rinse it with warm water. After that, dry it and the hose is ready to be reinstalled. For maximum results, it is best to do this washing process once a week. "Don't forget to clean it once a week and replace it every 6 months," explained Instagram user @keluargabapakarsoono.
