One of the cakes that can be made is cat tongue cake. Even though the name sounds strange, this dry cake has a delicious taste and crunchy texture. It is named so because the shape of the cake is elongated like a cat's tongue.

To get the right shape, the cake dough must be molded in a special baking pan when baked. But because not everyone has a special cat's tongue pan, of course the process of molding these cookies has to be tricked in a certain way.

YouTube user Puguh Kristanto Kitchen, shared a way to trick a baking sheet so that the cat's tongue prints neatly and lives up to its name. Before entering the method, you must first make the cat's tongue cake dough. Mix the cat's tongue cake ingredients together.

"I mixed 120 grams of butter, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 egg white, and 80 grams of powdered sugar, stirred until evenly mixed," he said, quoted by BrilioFood from YouTube Puguh Kristanto Kitchen on Friday (29/3).

Once done, transfer the mixture into a larger container . Then add 100 grams of wheat flour and 20 grams of cornstarch. No need for a mixer, just stir all the ingredients using a whisk.

Because it was going to be made in two colors, the YouTuber divided the cake batter into two bowls. First add red coloring to the cake dough, then stir until the color is even. Meanwhile, the other one has no coloring at all. These two cake batters can be put directly into a plastic piping bag. Don't forget to cut the ends, okay?

After that, immediately press the piping bag slowly and put the colorless cake dough in an elongated line on the baking sheet. If so, add the colored cake mixture above the lines you made previously.

If so, prepare the grill. As seen in the video upload, this man is using an ordinary pan. Then put the coaster inside. Cover the pan then turn on the stove. Leave it for 10 minutes so that the inside of the pan becomes hot.

Once hot, place the baking sheet onto the coaster. Then bake the cat's tongue cake for just 15 minutes over low heat. Don't bake for too long because the shape of the cat's tongue cake will overflow.

Finally, lift the baking sheet and scrape the cat's tongue using a knife. As a result, the cat's tongue looks tempting. The texture is crispy and the shape does not overflow.
