Brilio.net - Steamer pans have a different design from pans in general. This kitchen appliance is usually larger and concave. Now, between the inner basins, there is a saucer in the form of a sieve in the middle of the pan, which functions as a base for the food ingredients that are to be steamed.
Well, the bottom of this filter is generally used to hold steamed water. Unfortunately, because the filter blocks the view, many people pour water with the wrong dose. As a result, when used for steaming , the water can drain quickly and cause the pan to burn.
A burnt steamer pan will usually turn black and be difficult to clean. It does require some special ingredients, such as additional baking soda to clean this burnt steamer pan. After investigating, baking soda can remove stubborn stains, including burnt steamer pans.
However, apart from baking soda, there are other ingredients that are more effective and faster in removing burnt stains on pans. This material was used by the owner of the Instagram account @rizka_andina. Through one of the uploaded videos, he admitted that he only relied on two simple ingredients that were no less effective to remove burnt stains on a steamer pan.
Removes burnt stains on steamer pans quickly.
Reported by BrilioFood from the Instagram account @rizka_andina on Friday (7/6), the simple ingredients in question are citrus and dish soap. How to use it: Pour water into a pan until all the burnt parts are submerged in water. If necessary, put the filter in too, okay?

So, when the water has boiled, put 1 sachet of citrus into the pan. Then add enough dishwashing soap. Stir until completely dissolved and boil for a few moments. Only then turn off the heat and let it sit until the water becomes warm.

When it is warm, immediately throw away the remaining dirty water. Then wash the pan as usual with wire wool and dish soap. This will make the burnt stains on the pan disappear immediately when brushed. That way, the pan will shine again as before.

However, please note that this trick tends to be effective on pans that have just burned. If the burnt stain has been left for a long time, it will take extra effort to remove it. Instagram user @rizka_andina admitted that this method can be repeated several times to remove old burnt stains on the steamer pan.
"How many times does this brush boil cycle?" asked the Instagram account @wr_irmalia.
"Just once.. This applies to those that have just burned. If it's been burning for a long time, it might need to be repeated several times," replied Instagram user @rizka_andina.
