Tricks to sharpen blender knives so they're sharp using one kitchen ingredient

Because it is often used, the blade inside the blender is at risk of becoming blunt. This certainly makes the process of smoothing food ingredients less than optimal. If you want perfectly smooth food ingredients, you have to blend them for a long time. However, besides being complicated, this technique actually uses more electricity.

Knowing that, you need to sharpen the blender knife. Unlike ordinary knives, blender knives cannot be sharpened carelessly. Instead of being sharp, blender knives can be damaged and broken if sharpened carelessly.

As a solution, many people use eggshells to sharpen blender blades. The hard texture of eggshells can sharpen the entire surface of a blunt blender blade. Although it becomes sharp, the use of eggshells sometimes leaves a fishy smell on the blender, so you have to wash the blender repeatedly.

In one of the videos uploaded on his YouTube, he uses a salt solution to sharpen the blender blade. Curious about how and the results?

As reported by BrilioFood from YouTube Ahmad Harisman on Tuesday (24/9), plug the blender into the power supply. Once done, open the blender and add 3-4 tsp of salt.

Don't close it immediately, pour enough water until it fills half the height of the blender glass. If so, close it tightly and turn on the blender.

"Blending is like grinding other kitchen spices, it only takes 5 minutes," he said.

The crystal-like and hard-textured salt is believed to be able to make the blender knife sharpened to the maximum. Make sure to do this regularly so that the blender knife becomes maximally sharp.

Open the lid of the blender after it has been turned on for 5 minutes. Discard the salt solution and then rinse the blender cup with plain water. If you want maximum cleaning, the blender cup can also be washed with dish soap as usual.

Reinstall the clean blender cup into the machine. Since it is sharp again, the blender can be used immediately to puree various foods or make juice.
