Brilio.net - Strainers come in various sizes and uses in the kitchen. Large strainers are used to drain fried foods, while small ones are used to strain tea or coffee. Frequent use makes tea strainers easily dirty and stained, especially on the edges.
Stains on the filter are difficult to remove with regular washing. If left untreated, this dirt can become a breeding ground for bacteria, reducing the cleanliness of the device. While buying a new filter may be a quick option, there are more effective ways to clean it without the need for scrubbing.
This cleaning method was shared by Sanjeev, a netizen from India. This method is suitable for stainless steel strainers and can be applied to various other kitchen utensils such as pans, knives, and frying pans. This information was uploaded on the Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana YouTube channel.
First, prepare a pan filled with water, then heat it over medium heat until bubbles appear. After that, add vinegar, baking soda, and enough dish soap. Well, these three ingredients are believed to be effective in removing stains on the filter, you know.
"Vinegar is acidic in nature which helps in getting rid of the stains. Baking soda is a base which reacts with the acidic vinegar and that causes these foams. Liquid dish helps in maintaining the foam," said Sanjeev.

Once the three ingredients are in, immediately place the filter you want to clean in it. Boil the tea filter for 15 to 20 minutes. Don't forget to occasionally turn the filter over so that the stains are lifted faster.

Next, lift the filter when it is clean. Rinse the filter in running water until there are no more stains, vinegar, baking soda, or soap left on it. Dry it and the filter is ready to be reused to brew another drink.
