Brilio.net - LPG gas running out is indicated by the stove no longer being able to be lit or the regulator needle pointing to red. If that's the case, the gas cylinder can be immediately replaced with a new one if you want to cook. However, recently there has been a lot of buzz about refilling gas cylinders that have run out.

One way was shared via YouTube Yoga Arief's upload. Reported by BrilioFood from the KREATIF YouTube channel on Thursday (18/7), this man showed an LPG gas cylinder that had been doused with hot water, so it was refilled and could function again. Through the video, this man said that this could happen because the gas content in the tube was frozen, so it could evaporate when the tube was doused with hot water.

In fact, this method is dangerous, you know. In the explanation on the kominfo.go.id page, pouring hot water on the gas cylinder will indeed increase the pressure from within, so that residual gas flows down the hose to the stove so that it can be turned on again.
However, the gas pressure triggered by hot water is actually inefficient and will not last long, resulting in less energy needed for cooking, unless the gas cylinder is replaced with a new one.

On the other hand, attempts to pour hot water can damage the paint layer on the LPG gas cylinder. Moreover, if this is done frequently, the paint layer on the gas cylinder that has been damaged will cause the cylinder to rust quickly.

Instead of using the idea of pouring hot water into an LPG gas cylinder, you can learn how to care for this kitchen appliance so that it lasts, you know. So, to ensure that the gas lasts longer, you can choose a quality regulator, so that the gas distribution to the stove remains stable and doesn't leak easily.
Apart from that, when cooking, it is best to use a stove fire that is not too high and cover the pan so that the food can cook quickly.
Cleaning the stove regularly is also useful for keeping the gas long-lasting, you know. The reason is, if the stove is dirty, it could be that the holes in the burner are blocked, so that the heat distribution of the flame is unstable and causes gas wastage.
