Brilio.net - The dining table is the center of family activities, a place to gather to enjoy meals and share stories. However, if not properly maintained, the dining table can become a nest for bacteria and germs.

Stubborn food stains , especially from fatty food residues and spilled drinks, can be a breeding ground for harmful microorganisms. If not cleaned properly, the dining table can become a source of contamination that threatens the health of the entire family.

The main problem faced in maintaining the cleanliness of the dining table is the food stains that are difficult to remove. Stains from sauces, oils, and spices often leave stubborn marks, even after cleaning many times.

Certain substances can even soak into the surface of the table, especially if the table is made of wood or other porous materials. As a result, bacteria and germs can hide in small crevices, hard to reach by regular cleaning, and continue to multiply.

If it is already dirty and full of stubborn stains, usually regular soap cannot effectively remove dirt on the table. Instead, you can use the trick used by the Instagram account owner @ninazeidien in cleaning a dining table full of stubborn stains. Instead of using soap, the netizen uses kitchen dregs.

As reported by BrilioFood from Instagram @ninazeidien on Monday (23/9), the kitchen dregs in question are rice washing water. Well, this rice washing water will be more effective in removing stains when mixed with other ingredients, such as baking soda. Not only stains on the dining table, a mixture of baking soda and rice washing water can clean various kinds of dirt on glass, the refrigerator, or even the kitchen.

How to use it, simply put the rice washing water into a spray bottle. Then add 1 tsp of baking soda. Once done, close the bottle and shake it so that the two ingredients are evenly mixed.

Next, spray this liquid directly onto the stained dining table surface. If the stains are dry and crusty, let it sit for a while. Then rub it using a cloth. Do this process until the stains are lifted and the dining table is clean again.

Basically, rice water contains various nutrients and natural enzymes that can help clean and lift dirt from the surface of the table. The starch content in rice water works as a natural cleaning agent that is effective in dissolving fats and oils that are often the main source of stubborn stains.

"However, because it doesn't use preservatives, it's best not to store it for too long," said Instagram @ninazeidien.

Since it was uploaded on September 10, the video about the trick to clean food stains on the table has been watched more than 14 thousand times. Who would have thought, not a few other Instagram users then gave direct responses in the comments column. Most of these netizens admitted that they had just found out and were interested in practicing the trick directly.
