Brilio.net - Nowadays, many people use gas stoves for cooking in the kitchen. Apart from being easy to use, gas fuel is also widely sold on the market. When it runs out, just replace the gas with a new LPG (LPG) cylinder.

However, often the process of replacing gas cylinders becomes a problem in itself. How could it not be, the new gas cylinder actually hissed when the regulator was installed. This sound indicates that there is a gas leak.

Knowing this, a number of people do various things to overcome it. The method that is often done is by adding pieces of rubber bands between the gas cylinder holes. That way, there is no more space left in the gas cylinder hole.

Even so, this method is considered less effective. The reason is, the thin and flexible texture of the rubber band is at risk of breaking. As a result, the gas cylinder hole patch will last a long time. Like it or not, you have to patch it repeatedly while using the gas cylinder. Complicated, right?

As a solution, a netizen using TikTok @sugiartiimung6 showed another method that could be put into practice to deal with leaking LPG gas cylinders . In his video upload, it appears he only relies on two simple tools.

Easy way to stop LPG gas leaking.

First, prepare the materials and tools needed. For the ingredients, you only need to prepare enough water. As for the tools, as reported by BrilioFood from TikTok @sugiartiimung6 on Monday (8/4), there were hammers and pieces of used tire rubber. To do this, pour enough water into the gas cylinder hole. Because it was leaking, gas bubbles appeared to appear in the hole.

Next, place a piece of old tire rubber over the hole. Without needing to glue it or anything, just gently hit the piece of used tire rubber with a hammer.

"Don't be too loud, guys," said the owner of the video.

Do the same process 2-3 times. If no water bubbles remain, this indicates that the gas cylinder is no longer leaking. Just wipe the top of the gas cylinder hole with a dry cloth. The gas cylinder can be installed directly with the regulator as usual.

Because it no longer leaks, when installed, the gas cylinder no longer makes a hissing sound. It's easy how to do it, right? If you experience a similar incident, just practice this method, okay?

Easy way to install a regulator on a gas cylinder.

Installing a regulator on a gas cylinder is actually quite easy, but it must be done carefully and paying attention to several safety measures. The following are general steps for installing a regulator on a gas cylinder.

1. Make sure you have a gas regulator that is suitable for the type of gas cylinder you are using. Gas regulators usually come with clear instructions for use and compatibility.

2. Make sure the area around the gas cylinder is clean and free from flammable objects or open flame sources.

3. Check the condition of the gas cylinder, make sure there are no leaks or damage to the valve or hose.

4. Carefully remove the protective cover on the gas cylinder valve.

5. Attach the regulator to the gas cylinder valve by inserting the tip of the regulator into the valve and turning clockwise to tighten. Make sure the connection between the regulator and the gas cylinder valve is in a firm and tight position.

6. Check that the regulator is installed correctly and that there are no gas leaks using soap solution or a gas leak checker recommended by the manufacturer.

7. After ensuring there are no leaks, slowly open the gas cylinder valve by turning it clockwise.

8. Adjust the desired gas pressure using the pressure regulator on the regulator. Usually, the recommended gas pressure is specified for the device or application you are using.

9. When finished using gas, make sure to close the gas cylinder valve carefully by turning it clockwise.

10. Store the regulator and gas cylinder in a safe place and protected from external interference.

Be sure to read the instructions for use provided by the manufacturer for the gas regulator you use. If you feel unsure or uncomfortable installing a gas regulator, it is better to ask for help from someone who is more experienced or a trained professional in this matter. Your safety is the main thing.
