Brilio.net - Free-range chicken eggs are known as a food ingredient with high nutrition. Compared to eggs produced by domestic chickens, free-range chicken eggs tend to have a denser and more complete nutritional composition. This means that free-range chicken eggs are often used as medicine which is sold at quite high prices.

Unfortunately, this phenomenon is often exploited by naughty traders who then sell fake free-range chicken eggs for personal gain. Yup! Fake free-range chicken eggs usually come from domestic chickens or normal breed chickens with a smaller size. So that the appearance is similar to real free-range chicken eggs, the eggs are then transformed using bleach or chlorine and vinegar so that the shells are whiter.

Unfortunately, traders often take advantage of consumers' ignorance to continue selling fake chicken eggs at high prices or equivalent to real chicken eggs. Instead of getting benefits, consuming chicken eggs that have been treated with chlorine certainly has its own side effects. Therefore, it is important to know the difference between real and fake chicken eggs so as not to be fooled.

Luckily, there was a netizen on YouTube who shared how to differentiate between real and fake free-range chicken eggs. Through the YouTube channel Ragam Menu Nusantara, he admitted that real free-range chicken eggs cannot be seen at a glance because of their white appearance. Because it could be that the egg shell has been given additional bleach so that its outer appearance resembles a real free-range chicken egg.

As reported by BrilioFood on Thursday (6/6), real and fake free-range chicken eggs can be differentiated from the outside (shell) and inside. In the video, YouTube user Ragam Menu Nusantara displays real free-range chicken eggs on the right, while on the left are fake chicken eggs. So, you can look at the color, shape and texture of free-range chicken egg shells.

When viewed in terms of color, even though at first glance they appear to be white, real free-range chicken eggs have brownish spots on the shell. Fake free-range chickens that have been engineered tend to be smoother without spots.

So, in terms of shape, real free-range chicken eggs tend to be pointier and more oval than fake free-range chicken eggs. For fake free-range chicken eggs, even though at first glance they appear oval, the ends will still be shaped like a circle. This is different from real village chickens which are really sharp at the ends.

Well, apart from color and shape, the texture of free-range chicken egg shells can also be distinguished. Real free-range chicken eggs have a skin or shell texture that is smoother and shiny, while fake free-range chicken eggs tend to be dull.

If you look at the inside, the egg yolks from real free-range chickens tend to be bright yellow. This is different from the egg yolks from fake free-range chicken eggs which tend to be a bit orange.
