Tamara Tyasmara recently responded to the 20-year sentence handed down to Yudha Arfandi , who was involved in the death of her son, Dante. In her statement, Tamara said that whatever sentence is handed down, it will not bring back Dante's life that has passed away.
Furthermore, Tamara felt that the 20-year sentence was lighter than the demands filed by the Public Prosecutor (JPU). She said, "Actually, with any sentence, Dante's life cannot be brought back, right? With a 20-year sentence, how about that," at the East Jakarta District Court, on Monday (4/11/2024).
"Actually, 20 years is not comparable to what I feel. I lost my child, but the judge sentenced me to 20 years," he added in an emotional tone.

Despite feeling heavy, Tamara remains optimistic that justice will be realized in Dante's case. She realizes that the legal process is not over yet, because Yudha Arfandi has filed an appeal. "This is not over yet, there is still an appeal. I still believe that the panel of judges are God's representatives on earth, and there must be justice for Dante. I think positively because whatever the decision is, it must be the best, it must be fair," she said with full hope.
