Verrell's entry into politics was not a sudden thing. Venna Melinda's eldest son admitted that he had long been interested in entering politics, following in the footsteps of his mother who also served as a member of the DPR.
Verrell pum now claims to be ready to carry out his duties as a member of the DPR wholeheartedly. He is determined to go down directly to listen to the aspirations of the people in his electoral district and repair the image of the people's representatives which was damaged by the actions of several officials.

As a form of commitment, Verrell made a promise that surprised many. He stated that he would not take his salary as a member of the DPR for a full year. He took this decision to show that he was not only seeking material benefits from his position as a people's representative.
"This is my gesture to show my attitude that to prove that artists are not just about making money, I will give one year of my salary to my constituents," said Verrell.
The salary will later be distributed to the West Java VII Electoral District, Verrell's electoral district in the 2024 Legislative Election. He hopes that this step can help the people in the area .
"So for one year I will channel my salary to develop my electoral district in West Java VII," explained Verrell.

Verrell Bramasta's Salary in the Indonesian House of Representatives
As a member of the legislature, Verrell will receive a salary and allowances in accordance with the provisions stipulated in Indonesian laws and regulations. The basic salary and allowances of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives are officially regulated in Government Regulation (PP) Number 75 of 2008 concerning the Financial and Administrative Rights of the Leaders and Members of the People's Representative Council. In addition, there are also additional regulations that regulate the details of other allowances, such as the Circular Letter of the Secretariat General of the Indonesian House of Representatives Number KU.00/9414/DPR RI/XII/2010.
According to the provisions, a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives such as Verrell Bramasta will receive a basic salary of Rp4,200,000 per month. This is the basic salary that is the right of every member of the House of Representatives who has been inaugurated.

In addition to the basic salary, members of the Indonesian House of Representatives are also entitled to various allowances. For example, Verrell will receive a wife allowance of 10% of the basic salary, which is IDR 420,000 per month. If he has children, he will receive a child allowance of 2% of the basic salary for each child, a maximum of two children, so each child will receive IDR 84,000 per month.
Not only that, Verrell is also entitled to a position allowance given to all members of the DPR, which is Rp9,700,000 per month. This allowance is a form of additional compensation for the important position held as a member of the legislature.
Then, there are allowances for other basic needs, such as rice allowances given at Rp30,090 per person, with a maximum limit of four people in one family. In addition, each member of the DPR also receives a court fee or package of Rp2,000,000 per month, which is given as compensation for attending important meetings in the DPR.
In addition to the "attached" allowance, Verrell will also receive other functional allowances. One of them is an honorary allowance of Rp5,580,000 per month.
This allowance is given as a form of appreciation for the honorable position held as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives. Verrell will also receive an intensive communication allowance of Rp15,554,000 per month which is intended to support interaction with constituents and dissemination of information to the public.
As part of his oversight and budget duties, Verrell will also receive an increase in oversight and budget functions allowance of Rp3,750,000 per month, which is given to support his legislative function in overseeing the running of government and budget preparation. In addition, members of the DPR also receive electricity and telephone assistance of Rp7,700,000 per month to cover operational costs while working.
Verrell is also entitled to a member's assistant, with an allowance of Rp2,250,000 per month which is allocated to pay the salaries of support staff who assist him in his work as a member of the DPR.
With a basic salary of Rp4,200,000 per month, for 12 months or one year, Verrell will contribute a total of Rp50,400,000. Even so, he will still receive a number of other allowances as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives which if added up could reach tens of millions of rupiah every month.
