Brilio.net - Indonesian society is still focused on the issue of the planned ratification of the Pilkada Bill which was scheduled for August 22, 2024. Demonstrations were unavoidable because many people protested to the House of Representatives (DPR). Even a number of public figures took to the streets such as Reza Rahadian and a number of comedians including Arie Kriting to Bintang Emon.
However, one artist who is believed to have a big influence, namely Raffi Ahmad , did not show the same attitude as most other celebrities. While many people uploaded a blue 'Emergency Warning' with a picture of Garuda, Raffi Ahmad only shared news about the cancellation of the ratification of the revised Pilkada Law.
As a result, calls to boycott Raffi Ahmad have emerged. Nagita Slavina's husband is accused of not being empathetic to the people and instead supporting the authorities in the government ranks.
Aware of the call, Raffi Ahmad gave a relaxed response. Raffi felt that he was often associated with problems like this. Therefore, he said that the insults he received now would definitely subside.
"I'm used to being called a money launderer, yes, the storm will surely pass. What is certain is that we will do our best for Indonesia," said Raffi as quoted by brilio.net from Kapanlagi.com, Tuesday (27/8).
Raffi Ahmad also explained that he had spoken about the current situation, especially regarding the monitoring of the Constitutional Court (MK) decision that was almost annulled by the DPR. According to him, he had made a statement and invited all parties to jointly monitor the process.
"I have already given a statement. Let's monitor it together," he said.
Many people say that he is a figure who is close to the authorities. Even so, Raffi Ahmad continues to emphasize that as a citizen, he only wants the best for Indonesia.
"As a citizen, I certainly want the best for the government," he concluded.
