Brilio.net - Did you know? Today, March 8, is celebrated as World Women's Day. So, to coincide with that, Raisa invites you, especially women, to celebrate this day. The country's proud singer released his latest single entitled The Girl That I Used To Be.

Raisa presented this song as an expression of deep appreciation for women who have successfully gone through growing up. Starting from a young girl to an adult woman with all kinds of problems she faces.

This song is to romanticize, remember and appreciate the journey we, women, have made to get to where we are today. It's okay if you currently experience two conflicting feelings towards yourself. Feelings that are still carried over from the past and feelings in the present. Don't let there be any regrets for the things we have gone through. "There must be a process that leads us to become even better," said Raisa, quoted by brilio.net from a press release, Friday (8/3).

It feels even more romantic because this single is a phase of life that Raisa went through and then put it into a musical work. In this song, Petra Sihombing was appointed as producer and also helped with arrangements. The duo succeeded in making this song feel intimate, comfortable and touching.

In this song the approach is very minimalist, just guitar and vocals. In fact, sometimes I think it's much more tricky because it's really stripped down and you can really hear all the details. "But with a song that has such an intimate theme, in the end this minimalist arrangement is what we felt could fit the song," said Petra, further about this single.

In order to celebrate the release of this song, Raisa also invited several inspiring women from various backgrounds to celebrate World Women's Day at The Langham, Jakarta, last Thursday (7/4).

Some of the women who attended the celebration included Rushka Soedibyo, Carline Darjanto, Heny Harus, Ucita Pohan, Hesti Purwadinata, Putri Caya, Sara Robert, Allysa Hawadi, Titan Tyra, Audrey Tapiheru, Indira Diandra, Cantika Abigail, Elwiana Monica, Radhini, Anka and Abigail from Rapot.

This moment became a very touching warm session with sharing moments and meditation guided by Nina Nikicio. Don't forget to also accompany the song The Girl That I Used To Be which was released by the JUNI Records label.

"I hope this song can make women feel heard, make it easier for them to convey what they feel, and remove the stigma of being "ungrateful" or "unhappy with life now," said Raisa regarding her hopes for this single.
