As the speech ended, netizens busied themselves trying to figure out the brand produced the jacket worn by the most influential person in the country. It was eventually agreed it was a jacket by high street fashion brand, Zara. By Sunday, several Zara outlets have reportedly sold out all of its #JokowiJackets (the official hashtag used to discuss the item on Twitter).

Known also as a flight jacket, the apparel that is typically worn by pilots have earned itself mainstream popularity and netizens had a lot to say about the president's fashion choice.

Saturday wasn't the first time Jokowi appeared wearing a bomber jacket, He has previously been spotted with a similar jacket as he departed for Natuna from the Halim Perdanakusuma airport in Jakarta.
