Brilio.net/en - Many parts of the world today are facing immense crises, and there are plenty of people who are deprived of essential needs such as food. According to The United Nations World Food Program (WFP), one in every seven children does not have enough food to lead a healthy and active life. Furthermore, 45% of deaths amongst the worlds children under the age of five are due to poor nutrition. The issue of hunger has been a major talking point for a lengthy period of time, and yet it still remains an unresolved issue today. The most recent solution that has been implemented to tackle this predicament lies in an innovative smartphone app called Share The Meal, which crowdfunds foodrations from across the world!

You may be wondering how it would be possible to end world hunger. Well, the facts reveal that it is highly attainable, as long as smartphone users do their part to contribute. Data suggests that 'smartphone users outnumber hungry children by 20 to 1', which makes this idea a feasible solution. So how it work? Simply download the app from iTunes or Google Play and donate the amount that you want to in order to feed those who desperately need them. All the food is provided by the United Nations World Food Programme. By the way, there is no limit to the funds you want to raise, so feel free to be the difference in as many lives as you can be.

An Arabic version of the Share The Meal app was launched to commemorate the month of Ramadan.

ShareTheMeal has been tested recently in Europe and the results were outstanding. In just one month, 1.7 million meals were provided to Lesotho's young children. As the Ramadan season kicks in, the current goal is to feed 1,400 of Syria's refugee children aged 3-4 years old in Beirut, Lebanon for an entire year. In fact, a feature in the app allows you to track the impact of your donations based on the number of meals that have been directed to the children. Let us keep up this remarkable feat by doing our part too. Well, since you're now only one click away from potentially saving a life, what are you waiting for? Share the meal now!
